The situation

When Maxim Healthcare Services began working with Gross Mendelsohn’s Technology Solutions Group in 2008, Maxim was already using Microsoft Dynamics GP. However, Maxim needed help with some high-level integrations and better reporting that would ultimately result in greater productivity for their staff.

Michael Marinaro of Gross Mendelsohn’s Technology Solutions Group worked with Maxim’s development team to write integrations to Microsoft Dynamics GP. Michael enabled Maxim to use eConnect between Dynamics GP and their front-end scheduling / billing system, allowing data to be quickly imported into GP. The data import is fully automated and scheduled to run each day.

Michael also set up an integration between Dynamics GP and Maxim’s main accounts payable system.

Maxim uses a system called Ariba for approval and payment of all AP invoices. Invoices are submitted to a PO Box, scanned into the Ariba system, routed, coded, and approved in Ariba. Michael worked with Maxim’s developers to write an import to bring invoices into GP for posting to the GL and to generate payments. Most payments are electronic so they are sent back to Ariba for disbursement using another integration developed by the Technology Solutions Group. Other invoices are paid via check or electronic funds transfer (EFT) from GP. In addition to this import / export process, Michael worked with the Ariba team and Maxim’s development team to create an integration between Ariba and GP so vendor records and GL accounts are synchronized across both systems.

In addition, as the owner of multiple buildings, Maxim needs to import rental and lease information into its accounts payable system; our Technology Solutions Group enabled Maxim to import this information and cut checks from the accounts payable system.

Our team provides ongoing Microsoft Dynamics GP support, working closely with Maxim’s internal accounting, reporting and database teams.
