The situation
Gross Mendelsohn’s Technology Solutions Group implemented ComputerEase, a construction accounting and management software package, for Standard Supplies.
After completing a successful installation, Chris Haiss, one of our ComputerEase consultants, trained Standard Supplies’ staff how to use it effectively. She continues to provide ongoing support on the system. Gross Mendelsohn also helped Standard Supplies redesign its chart of accounts and job structure. This allows the company to track all costs and billings, and more importantly, understand the profitability of each job.
Chris also helped integrate external systems with ComputerEase. For example, the company’s FabSuite software is integrated with ComputerEase; this allows Standard Supplies to bring purchase orders from FabSuite into ComputerEase for receipt of inventory and payment to the vendor, meaning information comes into ComputerEase—the accounting system—for final processing.
Standard Supplies also uses ComputerEase’s payroll module to track time spent against jobs. Chris assisted with the import of employees’ time clock hours into the accounting system, then export the final processed accounting payroll information to ADP for final payroll processing and reporting.
