As a technology company, System Source’s people are already very tech-savvy. However, Sharon Paul and Michael Marinaro of Gross Mendelsohn’s Technology Solutions Group lend a high level of specialized Microsoft Dynamics GP and Business Portal expertise to System Source.
Gross Mendelsohn helped set up System Source’s use of Business Portal, a Microsoft SharePoint-based tool, to enable employees to easily enter time and expenses in a central place. Employees code their time and expenses to the projects they are working on. Employees’ time and expenses go into both System Source’s payroll system and Microsoft Dynamic GP’s Project Accounting module simultaneously. Reports from the system give management a clear picture of each project’s profitability.
Employees also use Business Portal to view paychecks and modify their HR information via a web interface. The Technology Solutions Group also assists System Source with Microsoft Dynamics GP installations, upgrades and payroll updates, as well as GP reporting and support issues.
