An account executive with Gross Mendelsohn’s Technology Solutions Group, Bill Reading helps business owners and in-house accounting and technology professionals identify technology solutions that improve efficiencies, reporting, network security and operations.
Business owners, CFOs , controllers, and IT managers often know they need better accounting, project management, CRM, document management, reporting, data backup, or networking systems in place, but sometimes they don’t know exactly what they need. With all the software and hardware options out there, it’s hard to know what’s right for you and your business. Bill helps make the decision-making process easier for business owners that want to use technology to improve their processes and productivity.
Bill takes a simple approach to working with clients. He first talks with the business owner, CFO and/or controller and/or IT manager to understand their business and current technology systems. He then assesses whether those systems meet the business’s needs in terms of accounting, payroll, reporting, business intelligence, network security – and more – to see if there are any areas that need improvement. Once talking this over with his client, Bill recommends an appropriately scaled solution and explains the implementation process. Bill then introduces his client to the Technology Solutions Group team member that has the best skill set to implement the recommended solution, and provide the needed training and ongoing support.
Bill is well-versed in solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ComputerEase accounting software for construction contractors, Sage Accpac ERP, SageCRM, networking and data backup and recovery.
Even though he works frequently with construction contractors, distributors and manufacturers, and service businesses, Bill knows every company has a different way of doing business. Curious by nature, Bill loves interacting with clients and digging deep to understand what each person’s job is like on a daily basis and how their business runs from day to day. Bill applies that knowledge to recommend ways technology can make their day easier or more productive.
