[Video] What’s The Difference Between Sage 300 and Sage 300Cloud?
Over the past few months, you may have received a call from Sage asking if you’re ready to switch from Sage 300 to Sage 300Cloud. Before you can make that decision, you’ll probably want to know what you’ll get out of Sage 300Cloud.
Web Screen Improvements
With Sage300Cloud, you get access to a new generation of web screens. You are no longer limited to CRM integrations or Internet Explorer. You get full reins to a functional dashboard on a browser-based homepage.
This homepage is different from web screens from Sage’s past software. It’s fully customizable so you can adjust it to what you need. If you’d like to open your system to the current cash position, current receivables, sales year-to-date, top customers, or anything else, you can do that. It’s built so you get the information that’s most important to you as soon as you open the software.
Expanded Hosting Capabilities
While it is called Sage 300Cloud, it can be installed as on premise software. Even if it’s on premise, your users can access it offsite or on mobile devices.
Priced Just Right
Rather than paying a lump sum up front, Sage 300Cloud splits the cost into easy subscription-style payments. Plus, they’re making it easy to purchase exactly what you need without pricey extras.
For instance, if you only need general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable capabilities, you can go for the cost-effective “Essentials” package. If inventory control and purchase orders are required in your business, the “Advanced” package would work for you. Only go for the “Complete” package if you need features like GL consolidation and project job costing.
Easy To Use
Out of the box, Sage 300Cloud looks like it’s easy to use. You’ll get four to six graphics on your dashboard that you can customize. You’ll also get access to a new, nifty notes feature.
It’s built for the average user to have more control over their ERP system. The web screen customization tool allows users to change their own dashboard to fit their needs, rather than waiting for a programmer to do it. Also, Sage 300Cloud is in HTML5, which means that it’s accessible on all browser-based devices, including laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
Sage300Cloud also added a neat recently used window. Rather than hunting for icons and windows, your recently used window will pull things up for you.
Additionally, Sage integrated a faster finder tool so you can zip through work.
The finder is very fast. The performance in Sage 300Cloud is much better for the finder.
We’ve been working with Sage 300 for ages, so if you have any questions, contact us here or give us a call at 410.685.5512.
